Dear Parent and Student,
Please mark your calendars for the Winter Sports meeting on Tuesday, October 24th @ 6:30 pm in the Worship & Fine Arts Center. This meeting is a REQUIREMENT for ALL prospective Winter sports athletes, grades 9-12, and at least ONE parent who DID NOT attend the Fall sports general meeting earlier this year.
After the general meeting, each winter sports program will hold their individual program meetings @7pm. The individual sport meetings are MANDATORY for ALL athletes planning to play a winter sport. Please make plans to be in attendance and notify your coach if you have a conflict with this date that cannot be resolved.
-Girls Basketball will meet in the WFAC -Boys Basketball will meet in the Cafeteria
-Wrestling will meet in the gym -Boys Swim will meet in room 102
-Cheerleading will meet in room 103 -Dance will meet in room 104
Athletic registration is REQUIRED to be done online at www.martinlutherhathletics.org. Click on the “Athletic Registration” Tab and follow the directions. If you did not complete the online registration process for the Fall, please make sure to complete this prior to the start of the Winter season. Be sure you have received a COMPLETED REGISTRATION pop up window, which ensures your online registration is complete. If you do not receive this confirmation, be sure you CONTINUE to the shopping cart, SELECT the payment option in the DROPDOWN (PAY OFFLINE, PAY ONLINE NOW, ETC.). The $75 athletic fee (per sport) can be paid online with your credit card (processing fees do apply) or you may still pay by cash or check in the main office.
A current physical clearance form must also be on file in the main office. If this is the second year of a valid physical, the alternate year form must be turned in. These printable forms can also be found on the website. If you are unsure if you need a new physical or not, please call or email Ms. Monaghan in the main office (x. 202). Ms. Monaghan will be available in the main office beginning at 5:30 pm to collect physical forms and to collect cash or check payments ONLY.
When all the registration requirements are completed (online registration, physical clearance forms and athletic fee) the student-athlete can pick up their “Green Practice Permit Card” in the main office beginning one week prior to the sport season start date. This card will be given to the head coach and will signify that all registration requirements have been met and the athlete is cleared to participate in all activities. Please don’t hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions regarding the Athletic registration process or the Winter sports meeting.
